Just 99 years ago, in a little town of Houma, Louisiana, just outside of New Orleans, Momma Pearl Theriot was born. She was blessed with 13 children and uncounted grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren. Throughout the years Momma Pearl fed her 8 sons and 5 daughters some of the best food on the planet; Louisiana Cajun recipes passed down from generation to generation. Momma Pearl is gone now, but thanks to a little lady named Hurricane Katrina, Chef “BB” Brunet, the 10th of Momma Pearl’s brood, is here in Colorado Springs. In August of 2013, Chef “BB” Opened “Momma Pearl’s® Cajun Kitchen” with one goal in mind, to continue the tradition of serving real Southern Louisiana cuisine from those same authentic recipes, made from the freshest ingredients and a whole lot of love for the best combination of flavors you’ve ever had. Over the years, we’ve enjoyed the company of thousands from all over Southern Colorado. Momma Pearl’s® has also been recognized as the GOLD winner of the “Best Of” Cajun Food Restaurants by readers of the Colorado Springs Gazette for the last two years.
